Your Self-Rescue and Swim Instructor in Vero Beach, FL.

When moving into a house with a pool and two young children ages three and one, Bethany was desperate to find self-rescue swim lessons for her kids to keep them safe both in and around the water. She was grateful to have a good friend who would not stop talking about how amazing ISR was and how she had to do it. Bethany enrolled her kids as soon as she could. After a single week, and through the encouragement of the ISR instructor who taught her kids,  Bethany was certain that becoming an ISR instructor could be the life change her and her family needed.

Bethany was excited to be accepted into the ISR training program shortly after her children completed their ISR session. ISR has changed everything for Bethany and her little ones, giving her the autonomy to choose a work schedule most conducive for her young children in this stage of life.

Bethany confidently shares with anyone who will listen that ISR not only gave her peace of mind as a mom to know her children are safe but allows her to live out her mission of being the primary influence in her kids life while doing something she is passionate about to help serve both children and their families by teaching them life saving skills.

Living in Florida where sadly the leading cause of death in kids under 4 years old is drowning, Bethany is passionate about helping as many families as possible which aligns with ISR's mission that "Not One More Child Drowns.

FAQs
How many days a week are lessons?
Consistency is KEY when it comes to ISR lessons. Lessons are conducted 5 days a week (Monday through Friday) at the same time each day. With our high frequency, short duration lessons we can mold these skills into your child’s muscle memory so they become something they will not forget. Daily attendance must be adhered to barring illness.
Is this the program where you throw the babies in the water?
Absolutely NOT! Each kick, breath, reach, and rotation is positively reinforced. Once a child is FULLY skilled we will integrate simulated fall ins but always with us inches away and never from outside of the pool.
Do I have to get into the water with my child?
No, lessons are just for the Instructor and your child. You will be their cheerleader from the pool deck. Once we do have some stable skills to share with you, we will invite you into the pool for a lesson or two if you want.
But do they learn to swim?
They sure do! Any child of walking age will learn to hold their breath, kick and reach to swim to get to the wall, steps, or to an adult they are swimming to.
